| At the tender age of 18, I
began my full time career in the art of taxidermy. My objective was not
only a means of support for myself and my family, but a passion to
perfect the quality of professional taxidermy. Over the past 33 years, I
have devoted my life to perfect each and every trophy I mount.
After having won many blue ribbons and
receiving the title of Best all around Taxidermist in my field, I
continuously apply my knowledge and skills into each mount that I work
on. It is not only a personal satisfaction of mine to bring life-like
likeness to a species, but being able to give back to my customers
a trophy to be proud of for a lifetime.
Angiee
Sams,
my wife,
is the
credit to my success in the taxidermy business. Angiee manages our daily operations.
Her expertise in handling the office aspects of the business, enables
my crew and me to focus on our own talents. However, when time permits,
she puts her taxidermy skills to good use by creating her own quality pieces of
art work.
David Sams, our son, a natural in the art
of taxidermy, has brought his gifted talent into our family run business
for over 10 years now, and has proven himself to be an accomplished
taxidermist with the same convictions for perfection as mine. David has
created in his own right, masterpieces of taxidermy art that anyone
would be proud to hang on their wall. His love for the outdoors and
perseverance in the sport of deer hunting, has proven itself with his
success at having bagged two Pope & Young class bucks over the past
couple of years, and using this same quality of determination along with
his artistic abilities, has given him the edge that is needed in being
able to skillfully bring realism to each of his mounts.
James Kilgore,
whose talent and skills excel in the realm of taxidermy art, has been a
part of our family for over 18 years. His expertise and craftsmanship is
quite evident in each and every trophy he mounts. James, also known as
J.C. to most everyone who knows him, is as much a perfectionist as David
and myself, which is what makes our team work standards unique. His
achievements in life have not only been inspired by his talent in the
art of taxidermy, but reaches out into the field of archery. Among many
of his awards and trophies he has taken over the years for his being a
precision archer, is his trophy for Indoor State Champion.
So you see, it takes a lot more than
just a whim to be a qualified professional taxidermist. The necessary
skills are limitless. We, at Trails End Taxidermy, take great pride in
all that we do, and stand behind our work with a guarantee of customer
satisfaction.
Operation
